TeachingBooks.net is a small, dedicated team working to enrich every student's reading experience. Their mission is to equitably give all readers insights and opportunities that deepen their understanding and joy of the books they are reading.
We challenged ourselves and the TeachingBooks team to rethink how the product should operate in the modern web, while setting them up to be future-proof to changes in technology down the road.

TeachingBooks has been around since the early days of the web–2001 to be exact. The site has seen many iterations, but until now, none have been responsive.
We were tasked with re-envisioning the product to meet current user expectations, responsiveness, and accessibility standards while creating a simplified design system that allows their team to rapidly create new content.
The result is the first responsive product in nearly 20 years of the company's existence. Focusing on the need for consistency, we reimagined their search tool, moving from three separate search options depending on the resource category a user was looking for, to create a bundled search that allows users to see results from each category at a glance.
